Prizes

The prizes described below are provided by the Ing Foundation. They have not yet confirmed the figures, which may therefore be subject to change.

All prizes are denominated in Taiwanese Dollars.

Prize money may be subject to taxation. The sums given are gross of any tax which may be due.

Computer v. Computer

If four or fewer programs take part in the final competition, prize amounts will halved.

In early November 1998, the approximate rates were:
1 £ (pound sterling)=54.5 NT$
1 $ (U.S. dollar)=32.5 NT$
1 DM (Deutschmark)=20 NT$
1 ¥ (Japanese Yen)=0.28 NT$
